Bridal Fitness Contest!

Sorry for the delay in blogging these days. Wedding season is starting and I have been a busy girl! I have a fun giveaway that I think will make up for my blog tardiness...

With summer fast approaching and in my fitness spirit (my own exercise bootcamp just ended and I LOVED it! Just signed up for another 4-weeks!) I want to offer one lucky bride a special opportunity to work with a personal trainer and nutritional coach before her big day.

Anne Griffith, owner of Northwest Influence, has designed a "Pre-event Package" for brides. The program is 3 weeks long with 5 sessions per week. A customized program will be designed for you including fifteen 90-minute nutrition and fitness sessions, personalized menus, fitness testing, fitness routines and a guided grocery shopping trip. This program is really about making positive changes in your health with long term goals in mind from your relationship with food to making exercise a part of your daily routine.

If you are an interested bride in the Seattle area leave a comment on this post telling me why it is important for you to be healthy for your wedding day. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 26th and will win $250 off the Pre-event Package and a free consultation!

* I extended the contest for another week so that more brides can be in the contest. Excited to see the interest so far! *

For more details about Anne and Northwest Influence visit www.northwestinfluence.com. Not only is Anne an inspirational trainer, she is also a bride to be herself and will be getting hitched this summer. You can swap stories while getting in shape!

Fitness Boot Camp...Day 1

Week 1 Update...
I made it through the first week! Yeah! I am hooked on this boot camp. I actually want to sign up for an additional four weeks after the first round. It is a great way to get motivated and have support from the trainer, Kimae Dolan, (who is fabulous!) and the other 20 plus women in the camp. I will write a final update after the camp is finished.

Day 1...
This morning marked my first day of a 4-week fitness boot camp and I wanted to share my experience with brides that may need some inspiration getting in shape before their wedding day. The program is through Seattle Weight Loss Boot Camp and is held at Greenlake on the lawn, rain or shine. This morning it was rain and mud! I have to say though that working out in those conditions is invigorating. You learn to ruff it and get your heart rate going. I feel energized and ready to make a positive change in my health.

My good friend Anne Griffith who is getting married this July inspired me to join with her. Anne is a fitness guru in her own right as a nutritionist and fitness coach. She offers her own version of a bridal boot camp but it is one-on-one with personalized meal plans and fitness training. Check out details at Northwest Influence & her blog.

I will send an update on Monday to let you all know if I survived my first week! At the end of the program I hope to have a success story to share.

I welcome anyone who would like to leave a comment about their own fitness success stories!

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Bridal Sweepstakes!

I have been obsessed with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics ever since I received my first gift card to the counter at age 17. Bobbi's makeup and skincare line is timeless and fresh. I get their monthly newsletter and was excited to see they are doing a bridal sweepstakes to win must have beauty goodies! Click here to enter the contest (see details below).

Prizes include their new bridal kit which I adore! Pictured above, Bobbi designed this kit with…"the bride and her bridal party in mind. This sleek white case with interior pockets and mirror includes makeup basics that work on everyone: Ivory Eye Shadow, Black Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, a Short-Handle Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush, Black No Smudge Mascara, and Pink Sugar Shimmer Lip Gloss, along with a tip card with step-by-step instructions on how to create Bobbi’s Bridal Look. Plus, there’s room in the kit to add your favorite Blush, Lip Color, and more Eye Shadows."

Spa Days

Today a friend treated me to a pampering pedicure at Julep Nail Parlor across from Univeristy Village. A great find right in my neighborhood! The decor is 50's retro chic blended with simple elegance. We were able to sit together in comfy chairs and chat while all natural soothing lavender vanilla lotion was massaged into our tired feet. Fresh tea was served and a large fireplace made the room feel cozy. What a perfect space for a girls night out, bachelorette party or pre-wedding spa day. You can rent out the entire spa for events in the evenings complete with catering and the option to bring in wine. It really doesn't get any better than that!
