Country Charm Wedding
Congratulations to Eva and Dean! Their wedding helding at the picturesque, Farm Kitchen, was a memorable and sweet occasion. Eva and Dean were a joy to work with! They are a couple very much in love and it was apparaent to all who witnessed their union.
Eva's attention to detail and creative background in advertising made for personalized touches throughout the wedding. Every element was carefully planned from custom designed wish jar cards and table numbers held in antique vinegar jars to chocolate brown duponi silk draping the ceremony arch and tiny strings of white lights lining the reception tent.
Farm Kitchen owners, Hollis Fay and Anne Thatcher, made each guest feel welcome in their home away from home set on a colorful organic garden in Poulsbo. They are among the most warm and inviting venues I have worked with.
To capture the candids during the rehearsal dinner at the property's apple orchard and emotional moments on the wedding day, Eva and Dean asked their close friend and accomplished Seattle photographer, Teddi Yaeger, to do the honors.
Organic caterer, Herban Feast, provided an array of delictable creations including sweet potato and dungeness crab cakes, green salad with edible flowers, pomegranate glazed pork tenderloin and wild mushroom risotto washed down with a lavendar infused punch.
A little sprinkle didn't dampen the mood. Eva rented vintage parasols from Bella Umbrella for her wedding party and the rain stayed away long enough for guests to make their way to the reception tent.
For entertainment Eva and Dean called upon friends, Dudley Manlove Quartet, to keep the party going. Their funky lounge inspired melodies were a crowd pleaser. My personal favorite is their rendition of Neal Diamond's "Sweet Caroline"! As the evening came to a close the band appropriately played Donna Sommer's "Last Dance" and the happy couple walked down a gravel path lined with sparklers.
Thank you Eva and Dean for letting me a be a part of your intimate and oh so fun wedding!
